Worship Services
The following is a list of the main worship services scheduled at Annual Conference:
- Opening Worship Service with Communion - Monday June 7 at 9:00 am
This service will be led by Guest Preacher, Rev. Jorge Acevedo and will feature music by Shiloh Mountain Trio and Oboist Kim Loch. Scripture will be read by Grace by Heart biblical storytellers from Dayton Grace UMC. - Praise and Worship Service - Tuesday, June 8 at 8:30 am
Guest Preacher, Rev. Janet Wolf will lead this service. Music will be lead by the Praise Team from Reynoldsburg UMC with the scripture being read by Grace by Heart biblical storytellers. - Love in Action Worship Service - Tuesday, June 8 at 3:30 pm
Rev. Janet Wolf will be preaching again with Grace by Heart biblical storytellers reading scripture. The Praise Team from Reynoldsburg UMC leading worship and the children from participating in the VBS program at Lakeside are schedule to sing. - Praise and Worship Service - Wednesday, June 9 at 8:30 am
The Bishop from the Methodist Church in Mexico, Bishop Raul Garcia will preach at this service and music will be led by the Praise Team from Reynoldsburg UMC who will be joined by the West Ohio Conference Praise Team. - Celebration of Life and Ministry Worship Service - Wednesday, June 9 at 3:30 pm
This service will include honoring those about to Retire, the Commissioning and Ordination of those being credentialed, and Memorials, naming those who have died in the past conference year. Bishop Bruce Ough will deliver the sermon. - Morning Worship - Fixing of Appointments - Thursday, June 10 at 9:00 am
Bishop Bruce Ough will lead this service in which new appointments will be read and the Apostolic Charge will be delivered by Bishop Ough to those who are newly appointed.
Notes:
- In 2009, Lakeside updated their listening assisted system to a new FM Transmitting System. These listening assistance devices are available for all services. They are located at the information table in the rear of the auditorium.
